"j &k"

"Jesus answered,...'You must be born again."  John 3:5-7

"Always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.  1 Thessalonians 5:15

We are close to half way through and as we are reviewing the verses it is fun to see the kids remembering the verses we have learned.  I have a list of all the verses and stories that go with them but am not "techie" enough to get them on here.  You can email me at katie.meeuwsen@gmail.com and I would be happy to email it to you.

Thankful

I am so privileged to be able to be at devo's close to everyday and I am so very thankful.

Thankful for the parents that bring their kids to school early every morning!

Thankful for the kids that love to come to devo's and try to get their friends to come!

Thankful for eager hearts, willing to learn new verses, to hide in their hearts!

Thankful for teachers who put their time into lessons and come each week to teach!

Thankful to God for blessing us so greatly!!!

Just a few reminders that we will be listening to the kids say Psalm 100 this week Wednesday, November 20.  We can always use extra ears to listen to the kids.

Our older friends have started a book called "The Case For Christ - Student Edition" by Lee Strobel.  It may be helpful for your student to have a copy as they go through the book.

Prayer Requests/ Worship Wednesdays

Gods working so hard on these kiddos.. All the kids did a great job this week with the Books of the Bible :)  We are so proud of the MANY that could do it!!  :)

On to Prayer Requests- We are coming up on Holidays and Holidays should be a time of year that we are thankful and have a wonderful time with friends and family-but some don't have a lot to be thankful for and are having struggles and concerns at home!  So we are going to have a Prayer Request Box located upstairs for EVERYONE to bring concerns to Us as a Devo's Team so we can pray about this.. THIS WILL BE COMPLETELY CONFIDENTIAL- so do not list names- just list your prayer concern and we will lift it up to God in Prayer on Wednesdays....

Onto Worship Wednesdays- We are having so much fun with Singing and Praise!  Kids are dancing and worshipping our God :)  Awesome to see!!  We would LOVE if you could come and see us on Wednesdays.. Also along with Worship Wednesdays we are having Coffee Time- Devotions and Prayer Time with Moms, Dads, Whomever is invited!!  We would love having you!!!  Great way to see what your kids are up to at Devo's!!  COME JOIN IN!!  :)  (8:30 Worship and 9:00 Coffee Time)

Next up? -  We will be learning Psalm 100 next week and until November 20!!  That is the day we will hear them recite them.  :)

We are so grateful to all who come to Devo's- Just a reminder though if you are at Devo's we ask that you stay with us and listen and stay tuned in to our wonderful teachers so that there is no distractions for the others who come!  :)  If they are a distraction we will ask you to go to recess!  Thanks so much!!  :)

Letter's c & d

This past week our letter was "c" and the verse and story are from Matthew 19:14 "Let the little Children come to me."  Our "d" verse is "do to others what you would have them do to you."  from Matthew 7:12.  The story that goes with that verse come from Genesis 37-45 and is about Joseph and His Brothers.  Next week the "e" verse is "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13.  The story that goes with the verse is, Jesus heals the Blind Man from Luke 18.

We will be listening to the kids say the Books of the Bible next week, October 16.  We love to have extra ears that day to listen to the kids say them to us, so please come if you are able.

Devotions continues to go well, we are still having a few wanderers in the building so please have a discussion about where we should be when we say we are going to devo's.

What a great start to devo's this year!!!  There are so many things to be thankful for!  We have had a great turnout of kids both from Innocademy and Icademy!!!  We have a great group of parents that take the above verse to heart and come to teach these kids each week!  This week we got the "ok" to move into our own space upstairs!!!

Our younger friends learned their first verse with Ms. Heidi on Monday.  It comes from Romans 8:28, "And we know that in All things God works for the good of those who love him."  The "B" verse they will learn this week is "How Beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" Romans 10:15.

Worship Wednesday's has been going great, we are currently learning the books of the Bible, which is a review for some and new for others.  We will be listening to the kids recite these on October 16.  I have included the link to the song we use to help us remember them if you would like to practice at home.
