"m, n,o"

Sorry again for the delay in updating this blog.  We have currently covered "m & n", and will be working on "o" on February 10.

The "m" verse is "Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful."  Luke 6:36.  We have been really trying to stress the is in this verse.  Our Father is, was, and always will be merciful to us!

The "n" verse is "Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 19:19.

The "o" verse is "Children, obey your parents in the Lord.  Ephesians 6:1.

We have also been working on a new verse on Worship Wednesdays.  "For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."  Psalm 103:11-12

Loved

Our verses for "l" is John 3:16.  It is such a foundational verse and we have such passionate teachers we are spending a second week on the verse and adding verse 17.  "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn but to save the world through him."  John 3: 16-17.

"Jesus answered,...'You must be born again."  John 3:5-7

"Always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.  1 Thessalonians 5:15

We are close to half way through and as we are reviewing the verses it is fun to see the kids remembering the verses we have learned.  I have a list of all the verses and stories that go with them but am not "techie" enough to get them on here.  You can email me at katie.meeuwsen@gmail.com and I would be happy to email it to you.

Thankful

I am so privileged to be able to be at devo's close to everyday and I am so very thankful.

Thankful for the parents that bring their kids to school early every morning!

Thankful for the kids that love to come to devo's and try to get their friends to come!

Thankful for eager hearts, willing to learn new verses, to hide in their hearts!

Thankful for teachers who put their time into lessons and come each week to teach!

Thankful to God for blessing us so greatly!!!

Just a few reminders that we will be listening to the kids say Psalm 100 this week Wednesday, November 20.  We can always use extra ears to listen to the kids.

Our older friends have started a book called "The Case For Christ - Student Edition" by Lee Strobel.  It may be helpful for your student to have a copy as they go through the book.
